Young people’s expectations have the potential to revolutionise economies. To explore these opportunities, Visa is inviting the next generation of innovators to put their ideas to the test in a human-centred design session with Visa’s brightest minds.

The Junior Inventors’ Day will be hosted at Visa’s European HQ in London in Early 2024. The date of the Inventors' Day shall be announced via email to an email address provided by you at least 30 days prior to the event taking place.

  • Pitch your invention to some of the Visa team and get advice on how you could make your idea into a reality.

  • Interview a Visa expert about what it takes to work in innovation and get their advice on preparing for your future – whether you’re passionate about working at a tech company like Visa or setting up your own business.

  • Join a board meeting with one of the companies helping to revolutionise how we pay – share your ideas about how money will move in the future, and how you think they should prepare for when your generation become adults.

  • Gain behind the scenes access to the top-secret ways Visa helps protect your money – and how we stop fraudsters in their tracks!

How to get involved

Those interested in taking part can send applications to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Parent / legal guardian’s name

  • Parent / legal guardian’s contact details (address, telephone and email)

  • Your name

  • Your date of birth

  • Have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to enter who also resides in the UK & Northern Ireland and consents/agrees to these terms and conditions. You must also provide evidence of this permission when either requested by Visa and/or Grayling.

Successful applicants will be selected via a random ballot at least 30 days before the event and notified with additional details closer to the time. The ballot opens on 14 November 2023 and closes on 31 January 2024. 30 winners shall be selected from the ballot to attend the Junior Inventors' Day.

Applicant criteria

Children wishing to apply must:

  • Be between 8 – 14 years old

  • Live in the UK & Northern Ireland

  • Have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to enter (your parent or legal guardian must also live in the UK & Northern Ireland) and consent

  • Have a parent or legal guardian who consents to the terms of entry

Successful applicants will be notified and receive additional details closer to the time.
