Daphne van Domselaar

Daphne, once a volleyball enthusiast with dreams of joining the police force, quickly discovered her true calling in the world of football. With impressive reflexes, she now stands guard at goal, both for her club and her country.

She started her professional career in the east side of the Netherlands and quickly became the undisputed number one. Her breakthrough moment came during the UEFA Women's EURO 2022 in England, where her outstanding performances captured the attention of the global audience. After another season in Enschede, she said farewell to the Dutch league with an impressive collection of 8 titles, embarking on the next chapter of her career in the English league at Aston Villa. In 2024, Daphne signed to Arsenal and had a successful debut, securing a clean sheet and three away points against Leicester City.

Daphne was included in The Guardian's list of the top 100 female footballers in the world and was nominated for the Ballon d'Or in 2023.
